_| RUI ISIDORO - youth program debate

Portuguese, born in Beja, founder of Beja Speechmasters Agora Speakers, in 2018, the third club in Portugal. Helped the chart of several clubs, coordinated short-programs for young people and for adults, and is responsible for translating content into Portuguese on the website www.agoraspeakers.org.

Participating in the 1st Agora Speakers International Convention in Lisbon was a challenge that was immediately accepted, to share experiences with members of other clubs, countries and continents.

He will deliver a speech in the Agora Speakers Convention where the focus will be on short-term youth programs.

Ajudou ao nascimento de vários clubes, coordenou um programa de curta duração para jovens e outro para adultos e é o responsável pela tradução de conteúdos para português no sítio web www.agoraspeakers.org.

Participar na 1.ª Convenção Agora Speakers Internacional em Lisboa foi um desafio que aceitou de imediato, para poder partilhar experiências e vivências com membros de outros clubes, países e continentes.

Fará uma intervenção na Convenção Agora Speakers onde o foco será programas de curta duração para jovens.

Dinis Estêvão, Portuguese, 9 years old, born in Lisbon, a student of the 5th year next academic season 2019/2020. His first speech at Agora Speakers Barreiro was in the meeting dedicated to children's day, in 2018. He likes a lot to live together, is tremendously curious and always wants to participate in activities to gain knowledge and experience. At the Convention he will participate with his mother in a speech with a topic “Surprise”.

Dinis Estêvão, Português, 9 anos, nascido em Lisboa, aluno do 5.º ano no próximo Ano Lectivo 2019/2020. A sua primeira intervenção no Agora Speakers foi no clube do Barreiro, na sessão dedicada ao Dia da Criança, em 2018. Gosta de conviver, é tremendamente curioso e participa sempre em actividades para obter conhecimento e experiência. Na Convenção participará com a sua mãe num discurso com tema “Surpresa”.

Sónia David, 42 years old, Portuguese, born in Lisbon, Training Engineer, develops Lean Management skills, Trainer - Coaching.

Through the skills developed in Coaching, it is the personal taste that motivates the Teams - “The Good Result of My Team is my Success”.

Agora Speakers Barreiro member since June 2018, with the goal of Continuously Improving Public Speaking and Leadership skills, has a purpose of working with children through coaching and imparting Lean concepts to their daily lives. Wants to work and learn with children, always constructively. At the Convention, will participate with her son in a “Surprise” topic speech and later in a Round Table talk about Agora Kids.

Sónia David, portuguesa de 42 anos, nascida em Lisboa, engenheira de formação, desenvolve competências em Gestão Lean, Formadora – Coaching.

Através das competências desenvolvidas no Coaching, é o gosto pessoal a motivação das Equipas – “O Bom Resultado da Minha Equipa é o meu Sucesso”.

Membro do Agora Speakers Barreiro desde Junho de 2018, com objectivo de Melhorar continuamente o falar em público e as competências de Liderança, tem como propósito trabalhar com crianças através do Coaching e transmitindo os conceitos de Lean para o seu dia-a-dia. Pretende trabalhar e aprender com crianças, sempre construtivamente. Na Convenção participará com o seu filho num discurso com tema “Surpresa” e posteriormente em conversa de mesa redonda sobre o Agora Kids.

_| ANTÓNIO MATIAS - the photo reporter

António Matias, 53 years old, will be the image reporter for the Agora Convention. After 30 years dedicated to infrastructure management and computer security, he decided to completely change the paradigm of life to focus on two great pleasures of life: photography and training.

Photography has always been the activity of the few free time and so working in this area is more than work, it is a pleasure. Training has always been a parallel activity, since it allowed the integration of new elements in the teams and specialization in areas of emerging technologies, based on self-study, self-development and research.

He was with the group that brought the Agora Speakers model to Portugal, since it considers it to be an easy way to develop the skills not only in the way the themes are presented, but also the way in which they receive authentic "shots" of knowledge that each one ends up bringing in every intervention that does.
It supports this learning model as necessary to change the traditional and outdated way of learning in today's schools.

Being a member of Barreiro, in September, António Matias will officially make the photographic coverage of the Agora Speakers International Convention

António Matias, 53 anos, será o repórter de imagem da Convenção. Após 30 anos dedicados à gestão de infraestruturas e segurança informática, decidiu mudar completamente o paradigma de vida para se concentrar em dois grandes prazeres da vida, a fotografia e a formação.

A fotografia sempre foi a actividade dos poucos tempos livres e por isso trabalhar nesta área é mais do que trabalho, é um prazer. A formação sempre foi uma actividade paralela, pois permitiu a integração de novos elementos nas equipas e especialização em áreas de tecnologias emergentes, assente no auto-estudo, auto-desenvolvimento e investigação.

Esteve com o grupo que trouxe para Portugal o modelo Agora Speakers, pois considera ser uma forma fácil de desenvolver as capacidades não só na forma como se apresentam os temas, como é brilhante a forma como se recebem autênticos “shots” de conhecimento que cada uma acaba por trazer em cada intervenção que faz.

Apoia este modelo de aprendizagem como necessário para mudar a forma tradicional e antiquada de aprender nas escolas nos dia de hoje.

_| NATALIIA IVANCHENKO - timer

Nataliia Ivanchenko, 37 years old. Since always, she had a great taste for the arts, especially painting. She found in the business of aesthetics the activity where she combines with her taste a financially sustainable professional activity.
Continuing on the goal of beauty, created its own salon to provide hairdressing and aesthetic services, but always with innovation first, from the products used to the way they are applied.

She joined Barreiro Agora Speakers, because due to being of foreign nationality, it is an added value to work on how to present and study and also correct the Portuguese language. Given the need for direct contact with the public, it is important to keep the training in the best way to pass the information and message in a positive and careful way.

At the September Convention, she agreed to play the funtion of timer for 1.30h, to make happen something so important to everyone.

Nataliia Ivanchenko, 37 anos. Sempre teve muito gosto pelas artes, especialmente pela pintura. Encontrou no negócio da estética a actividade onde alia ao seu gosto uma actividade profissional financeiramente sustentável.

Continuando no objectivo da beleza, criou o seu próprio salão para prestação de serviços de Cabeleireiro e Estética, mas sempre com a inovação em primeiro lugar, desde os produtos usados à forma como são aplicados.

Integrou o Barreiro Agora Speakers, pois devido a ser de nacionalidade estrangeira, é uma mais-valia não só para trabalhar a forma de apresentar como estudar e corrigir a língua portuguesa. Face à necessidade de contacto directo com o público, é importante manter o treino na melhor forma de passar a informação e mensagem de forma positiva e cuidada.

Na Convenção de Setembro, aceitou desempenhar a função de timer, durante 1.30h, para fazer acontecer algo tão importante para todos.

_| MARIA AIRES - travel agent Agora

Maria Aires, 47 years old. Since she was 12, she dreamed of working in Tourism. Here she can show what best we can do in life: Travel to meet new worlds, cultures and way of being in life. 
Currently, she has her own company, to guide people to locals that they never imagined existed, mainly in Portugal.

She joined to Barreiro Agora Speakers with the main purpose to develop her performance with british and spanish language, fundamental tools for the activity she do as travel agent. 

At moment, she is available to help all people (individualy or in groups) who is coming to the Convention, in September, concerning to accommodations, sight seeing, airport transfers and even mobile plans to facilitate contacts with each country.

Canadian. Lived in South Africa for 22 years.

A parent for over 50 years and a grandparent for over 20 years.

Located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Spends 2 months a year in Australia and 2 months a year in California visiting children and grandchildren.

Worked with youth groups since 2004 and discovered approaches which promote communication and leadership skills to assist youth to future success.

Noted that today's youth face more challenges than any other previous generation.

Creator of Our Future Leaders to assist youth to become the leaders our world needs.

At the September convention, he will deliver a speech about Changing Leadership – the impact on us and others.

Canadiano, viveu 22 anos na África do Sul. Pai há mais de 50 anos e avô há mais de 20.

Vive agora em Victoria, na Colúmbia Britânica, Canadá. 

Passa dois meses por ano na Austrália e mais dois meses na Califórnia, para rever os seus filhos e netos.

Trabalha com jovens desde 2004 e descobriu abordagens que promovem a competências de comunicação e de liderança, essenciais para um futuro de sucesso dos jovens. Os jovens de hoje enfrentam mais desafios do que quaisquer das gerações anteriores. 

Fred é criador do Our Future Leaders (Os Nossos Futuros Líderes), para desenvolvimento de competência que tornarão os jovens os líderes que o futuro necessita. 

Em Setembro, na Convenção do Agora Speakers em Lisboa, entregará um discurso sobre Changing Leadership - O Impacte em Nós e nos Outros.

Spanish, born in Seville and living in Madrid, founder of Parlanchines By RSI this year, the firts coorporate club in Agora Speakers.

He works in Rural Servicios Informaticos S. L. as Data Scientist oriented to Big Data environments. He tries combine his job with his passion, oratory, being a speaker in some groups about technology in his city.

He is a member of Agora Speakers since 2017 and this year he founded the firts coorporate club for Agora, which was a challenge that he wants to tell us to explain how to propose a public speaking club to our companies and motivate us to take this step.

Actividade profissional na área da Informática, trabalha no Rural Servicios Informaticos S.L., como Data Scientist, orientado para ambientes Big Data (gestão de informação e dados). A par do trabalho, a sua outra paixão é a oratória, sendo palestrante em vários grupos sobre tecnologia. 

É membro do Agora Speakers desde 2017 e este ano fundo o primeiro clube empresarial, que constituiu um desafio que quer agora, na Convenção em Lisboa, divulgar e explicar como propor o public speaking a organizações e motivar-nos a dar esse passo.
